ⓘ About NJ Weight Loss & Preventive Care
NJ Weight Loss is a medical practice. All medications are fulfilled by licensed compounding pharmacies. Your package includes medical evaluation, physician oversight, and prescribed medication.
📦 Shipping & Delivery
Medications typically are shipped from the compounding pharmacy directly to the patient within 24 to 48 hours, FedEx or UPS overnight. They typically do not ship over the weekend because many of the medications need to be refrigerated.
The pharmacy typically will send you tracking information. Keep in mind sometimes there are very busy times or medication may be on backorder for a couple days so if you are concerned with not getting your delivery in a day or two, please text us, but it is not uncommon for a delivery to take several days or even a week to get delivered depending on the circumstances and time of year.
❄️ GLP-1 Stability Note
Semaglutide and Tirzepatide are extremely stable medications. Although shipped refrigerated, they remain stable at room temperature for 30+ days, or 7 days at 102°. When refrigerated, they typically remain stable for up to 1 year.
💊 Compounded Medication Notice
Our medications are compounded — not pre-filled pens like brand-name Ozempic or Mounjaro. This is actually to your benefit: you can easily adjust your dosage in small increments to minimize potential side effects and reduce the cost of your medication by taking the least amount that is effective for you.
⚠ Concentration Warning
Different compounding pharmacies may manufacture different concentrations of the same medication (for example, 2.5mg/mL vs 5mg/mL — the second is twice as potent). This affects the number of units you inject on an insulin syringe. Always carefully check the label before injecting, and consult with our office before starting any new medication. Questions?
